Jake’s farewell was on the 8th of July! It was a pretty tough day for me…but also happy!! He did so good on his talk (especially the wonderful joke he told at the beginning) Everyone that knows Jake knows that he is a jokester so the joke that might not have been Sacrament appropriate made most of us laugh :)

Afterwards he had a dinner at West Minico and it was so great to see all of his friends and family there! I tried to get some pictures but thanks to my mamma I got enough :)
Jake and his good friend, Braxton.

He just has a way with kids! :) Actually he really does but he is a tease and his niece Averee (which is so adorable) wasn’t putting up with it at the time :)

Jake’s nephew, Ty and me :) I guess he didn’t want to look or smile haha!

Jake and his buddies that haven’t left on missions yet!

Jake’s niece Averee again with her cute mom, Emily :)

Jake and my cousin Cord…Cord was not excited for Jake to leave but he did mention that he now gets me to himself for two years which made us all laugh :)

Jake and his best buddy, Grandpa Barclay! He loves this guy :)

Jake’s who family doing a crazy picture…they are such a fun family and I think that crazy pictures are their thing :)

I had to add this picture just because it is the only one of just Jake and me (is it just me or do I look super depressed) haha!! Let’s just say I’m so glad that day is over and so glad he has finally got his mission started!! We waited for 2 1/2 years for this so now that it is finally here all we have to do is wait it out :)
