Work, Work, Work

So far this summer has consisted of work, work, and more work well maybe a little bit of playing in between.  I have really enjoyed work but today I got a very naughty kid that loves screaming at the top of his lungs.  From the other room it would of sounded like I was hurting the poor kid!! This little boy tested my patience and eardrums.  I have a really good friend at work, Staci, that works there and she is so sweet.  I am so glad she works there because I am always asking her tons of little questions!  Here is a picture of us at graduation :)  IMG_5603

Rules of Life

For my online English class we had to make a list of the daily rules you live by and it was hard to start but once they started I couldn’t stop!! I thought you might want to see some of the rules I live by :)

Wake up on time

Brush teeth and wash face

Feed dairy heifers

Pack a lunch

Leave for work on time

Drive the speed limit

Stop completely at stop signs or stoplights

Check both ways at the railroad crossing

Arrive at work five minutes early

Get paperwork for the day's clients

Be ready for client as soon as they arrive

Remain optimistic and patient

Try to make learning fun and with goals in mind

Chew with mouth closed

Leave time to relax

Watch for cars before crossing

Go through daily goals with clients

Keep a good reputation

Treat each client equally

Never leave client alone

Eat dinner

Take a shower

Smile at people throughout the day

Don't let myself judge anyone

Remember that something worth doing is worth doing well

Keep my word

Have good intentions

Set mind on a certain goal for the day

Study for homework or exams

Never quit

Don't be afraid to leave comfort zone

Live in the present

Focus on what I want

Always be grateful

Do not procrastinate

Always move forward

Take things one at a time

Remember life isn't fair

Good or Bad??

I got a job for the summer!  I don’t know whether this is a good thing or bad.  It will keep me busy but right now all I want to do is play!!  I work at Progressive Behavior Systems in Rupert as a developmental therapist.  I just work one on one with kids to help improve their behavior and life skills.  I think it will be fun but the first few days at a new job is always a bit intimidating ha!  Like yesterday one of the little girls told me she didn’t like me which always boosts your confidence….we’ll see how it goes, hopefully they warm up to me a bit more!
