How it all started…

I don’t know if I have ever told you the story of how this boy became my world…

so here it goes…

It was time for our Junior High School Sweetheart dance and it was girl ask guy.  I really did not care to go that badly but my two friends, Kelsey and Kenzie, forced me too.  I got all of the stuff to ask and was ready to get it over with.  We were at a basketball game and Kenz had asked Dalton to get the keys for another kids car for me to ask him when suddenly Jake Barclay walked into the gym.  He was late to the game, mighty fine, and seemed just so dang funny!  I had never talked to him before besides helping him with math but randomly felt the urge to ask him.  He seemed genuine, sweet, and someone that would just have a good time.  I gave the other boys’ keys back and asked for Barclays keys.  I went and put the piñata in Barclay’s car.  I was so excited as I was starting to think this was going to be such a fun day.  We decided to watch him get into his car but when we did he simply opened the door, looked super mad, and chucked the piñata into the backseat.  I got sad really fast as the excitement left.   A couple days later I came home from Twin Falls and there were flowers for me on the counter.  They were from Jake and I suddenly got butterflies.  I felt something for someone I didn’t even know!  (To be honest I didn’t even know his first name was Jacob)  He said yes to the dance and I decided to ask Makenzie for his number to text him and tell him thank you for the flowers.  We ended up texting all night and the next day there was a football game on TV.  We both happened to be watching it and we decided to make a bet on it.  Jake thought we should bet a kiss on the game but I quickly corrected him and told him just a chocolate one.  I can’t remember who won the bet but I’m pretty sure it had to be me so therefore he owed me a CHOCOLATE kiss.  The next week sometime Jake had a wrestling meet.  After the meet he passed out and had to go to the hospital.  He texted me when he was out and told me all about it.  I felt so bad and asked him if there was anything I could do.  He told me it would make him feel better if I went to his house and watched a movie with him.  (Now let me remind you, I had really never met him, I didn’t know where he lived, and it was a school night)  but regardless I found out where he lived and went over to his house.  I was so nervous to just show up to someone’s house who I have never really met but soo excited. His dad answered the door and he was wearing a light on his head (yes great first impression haha)  I went downstairs and Jake was sitting on the couch.  I sat down about a foot away from him and he just looked at me and said “Are you really going to sit that far away from me?”  I got major butterflies as I scooted over next to him.  He put his arm around me and we watched the movie Mall Cop.  The whole time all I could think about is o my gosh this boy has his arm around me and I think he likes me (ya I know I sound like an immature little girl but it was big to me at the time)!  The movie was over and he said he would walk me out to my truck.  He gave me a hug and when he did kissed me on my cheek.  The idiot that I am thought he was trying to kiss me on my lips so I said well you have to warn me and just went for it.  I still can’t believe I kissed him on our first time seeing each other (not even a real date) but now I know it was just one of those moments that it was sort of meant to be.  I guess you could say I got my kiss we betted on even though it wasn’t chocolate haha :)  We both decided to take it easy from then on out, but that is how it all started.  We ended up going to Sweetheart and went sledding at Pomerelle.  We popped our tube on the first run down as we ran into some trees but we still had so much fun.  Now we have been dating for quiet some time and seriously I couldn’t love him more.  Once he turns 19 he is going to serve a mission and I honestly feel so lucky to get to support a guy like him!  He is the sweetest man and I really just couldn’t be happier.
