It’s safe to say that I am still on Cloud 9 since Jake has been home. Life has felt like a dream and I am constantly catching myself smiling since he has been home! I have slacked with my blog though so here is some catching up from the past two weekends! We will start from the beginning…
*Thursday night we had a lot of catching up to do and talked through the entire night…we drove back to Idaho Friday morning (I skipped school). We hung out with family all weekend and just continued to catch up! It is amazing how much you have to talk about when you haven’t been able to have a conversation for 2 years!
*We had a girls outing Saturday morning to a craft show…where Jake picked me up and we hung out with family more!
*This is the sweetest picture….these kids sure love their Uncle Jake!
*We had to make sure we could still do our lift….which we could!! :)
*He has the sweetest nieces and nephews and they are so fun to be around!
*We headed back to Logan Sunday night which led to another funny story…
We were getting ready to leave Idaho when I mentioned to Jake that we probably should get gas. He thought we would make it to Snowville so we started driving. About 20 minutes from Snowville the gas light popped on and we both looked at each other and started laughing. We had about 5 miles to go when the car shut off and we ran out of gas. We both just started laughing really hard. Once we figured out we needed to do something since it was 10 at night Jake jumped out and tried getting a car to stop while I just laughed. A nice couple stopped and went and got gas for us. We were driving his Grandpa’s car and when they came back with gas we hit another obstacle. We didn’t know where the gas tank was….after Jake and the other guy searched for a few minutes, Jake called and figured out it was under the license plate. Needless to say, it was pretty funny and moral of the story is…women are always right! :)
*Jake got to hang out with his friend Dalton while I went to school Monday and then we took another trip down memory lane and went to Texas Roadhouse.
Things are going great and hopefully I can do a little better at posting now that he is home and things are calming down. This guy has completely stolen my heart and the past two years only proved that to me more :) He gave his homecoming talk this past weekend so I’ll write more on that once I get the pictures off my camera!
3 things I learned from last weekend:
1. Women are always right ;)
2. True love is only strengthened with time.
3. My heart is truly happy!
