I cannot tell you how much I miss this guy!!! He seriously has stolen my heart! Even though each day has it’s own struggles…I know it is making us stronger and it is getting us closer to each other one day at a time! Certain things really trigger memories and make the days really tough but every morning I get so excited to get another sticker on my countdown! He has been got 44 days today and I feel like that is such an accomplishment! The longest I had ever gone without him was 19 or 20 and that was because I was at college and he was at home! I got lots of pictures and he looks like he is doing good! He has 2 more weeks left until he leaves to Romania and that is scary to me! I think he is the cutest missionary ever and I am so lucky to call him mine!
It was hard tonight because my family went to his house for dinner. I have been to his house several times since he left but tonight it was hard. Our conversations were mainly revolved around my Jake. It was hard to be there talking about Jake without being able to look at him and smile or wink!! I know every girl that has ever been able to go through this would understand that some days are just worse than others…you just miss so much about them and all you want to do is be with them! You can go have a blast but it is never quiet the same without your best friend!
I know tomorrow is a new day but for now I miss so much about him….
the way he looks at me,
his smile,
that he is such a tease,
how much he talks,
that wonderful dimple,
his hugs,
those big brown eyes,
his humor,
snuggling,
his sincerity,
the way he listens and cares about what I am saying,
but most of all the way he makes me feel so special and loved (a feeling that no one else will ever be able to really compare with)!
Anyone that has had to say “see ya later” to their best friend for a certain amount of time will understand this…they just have a way to make you feel like the only one in the world (sounds cliché but it’s so true) He is doing great things and I am proud of him…but I wouldn’t complain if time decided to speed up :) !!!
Even though times get hard…distance means so little when someone means so much :)
