Christmas Time

I was so grateful to get to spend this Christmas season with Jake.  2 years is too long without that guy!  We started the Christmas season with Jake dressing up as Santa Claus for our neighbors family Christmas party.  It was actually supposed to be his dad but they were out of town so we searched high and low for a Santa outfit and finally pulled it together last minute…and I must admit, I did kiss Santa Claus!

We also got to do the traditional Christmas caroling with Jake’s side of the family!

We had our own little tree this year in our 5th wheel.  Christmas break worked out great because we were able to spend some time with both sides and our nieces and nephews, which we love doing.  For Christmas Eve and Christmas day we were with my family.  We went out to my grandma’s house with all of my cousins on Christmas Eve and had a big dinner, played games, and opened our cousin presents.  For Christmas Day we stayed at my parents and did presents, a big dinner, and games again with the cousins.  Jake got me a diamond necklace!  Our Christmas was funny though because when we went back to Jake’s parents to do Christmas the next week, our parents had got us the same Dutch oven gas grill for camping…great minds must think alike :)  The Christmas season really is my favorite.  Being able to be around family is simply the best!
