1 year from today Jake went to the MTC. A part of me can’t believe it’s been a year while the other part of me can’t believe it’s only been a year haha! There hasn’t been a day go by where I don’t miss him and think about him! It is crazy to me to realize how far we have both come since this time last year. I know in a year from now we will both change even more but I’m ok with that because these changes have made us closer than ever.

In life we are given choices…choices that are right and choices that are easy…Jake’s choice to serve a mission has not been easy but it has no doubt been the right choice! I have learned that even though this has been hard it should never be looked at as a sacrifice but rather one of the greatest blessings. If Jake wouldn’t have gone on a mission we wouldn’t have grown this much and become so close in doing so. Although it is still 365 days until he comes home…it’s 365 days less than it was and it will all be worth it! I’ve got my heart set on Jacob and nothing is going to change that :) Let the down climb begin!

So exciting! Crazy to think a year ago we were getting Kiwi Loco right after he left! You're tough Dakota! You can do another year! And just think we have our trip to look forward too! :]
