This week has been one of my favorites for this summer :)
*I worked the pool a lot this week because the pool people were gone…we ate lots of popsicles and surprisingly got rained on a lot!! It was the first it has rained since I have been here so it was an awesome change.
*The sunsets this week have been insanely pretty! Still not the same as those Idaho sunsets though :)
*We had a staff redneck party and it was pretty redneck!
*Wednesday was an exciting day…it started off with a baby scorpion in our room which doesn’t look scary but if you look it up, baby scorpions are more poisonous then big ones so it was still scary haha!
*I was super sad about missing the 4th of July in my hometown because there are so many fun things going on but we made the 4th a lot of fun! But first of all we knew we needed 4th of July shirts so we searched everywhere in St. George and had to settle for little boy shirts haha! We started off the day by waking up at 5am to go do a 5k color run in Kanab! It was my first official 5k so that was great! I had ran that far before but never as a race so that was exciting.
*Then we got back and had breakfast at the diner which was great because after we had to work the pool again…in our little boy patriotic shirts!
*Then once everyone was off work we headed back to Kanab for some more fun stuff. We ate dinner and got ice cream because we all love ice cream (especially Jenessa)
*Then we went to the park for some concerts, fire dancers, and fireworks!
*The 4th of July was definitely not the same without being home and without Jake but we did a lot of things and had fun which was great :)
*My mom also sent me another package…can you say best mom award?!?! The gummy bears were liquid once they got here but it was funny and definitely the thought that counted! Thanks Mamma!
*Pretty funny story….the kids we had yesterday were really naughty and hitting and screaming so we had to get a little stern to keep things under control…well one little girl asked to draw a picture then later handed it to me and said here this is for you…it’s a picture of you today Needless to say I guess it showed that the kids drove us crazy! haha

*Another reason this week was the best was I got to talk to my best friend, Staci, back at home for an hour. We caught up on lots and decided a vacation is in our near future…for reals though! I miss that girl and am so excited to see where our planning takes us :)
It was a good week and crazy to say it but I only have 3 weeks left here at the Ponderosa…time for the bucket list to start getting checkmarks!!!
